Higgins Insurance works closely with many national insurance companies to provide preferred rates for education employees throughout Atlantic Canada.

The bell rings, and school is back in for another day.  What the children and young adults don’t always appreciate and understand is the work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure a productive day of learning is going to happen. Teachers, educational assistants, administrators, bus drivers, and other employees in the education system all play an important role in the growth and development of our children. If not for these outstanding educational professionals and their continued pursuit of building active learning, our communities would not be the vibrant places to live that they are.

School’s out for summer?  If you and your family love boating, travelling, or heading to the cottage, we’ve got you covered. At Higgins Insurance we can protect you, your family and all of your property so that you can leave your worries behind and enjoy making memories to last a lifetime.

As a professional insurance broker, Higgins Insurance, will teach you about your home and auto insurance policy so that you fully understand the coverages and benefits you are receiving.

As an education professional in the Atlantic provinces what are the top 3 things to consider when choosing an insurance broker vs agent?

1.  Are you treated as a person or a number?  At Higgins Insurance we see our clients as family, and any recommendation we make is based on our personal understanding of your situation.

2.  Do you feel you are sacrificing coverage for premium?  When working with a Direct Writer or Agent they are limited to one market (their employer), and this can result in missing coverages that are important to you because they don’t offer them.  We take pride in being able to insure just about anything, and we will never sacrifice the coverages you need for premium.  Let Higgins Insurance help you make the right choices.

3.  Choice, Advice and Advocacy: The guiding principles of a broker.  By representing multiple insurance companies, we work for you, and will give you the best possible advice when making a decision for your insurance policy.  Unfortunately, sometimes things go sideways, and your broker will be there during these difficult times to make things right.  This is our promise.

Testimonials

After 29 years with the same company we have just switched our cars and home policy to Higgins Insurance. The rates were unbeatable. I dealt with Amanda Burke. She was lovely, helpful, and put up with my multiple questions with great patience. Change is hard, but Amanda made it easier. Thanks Higgins Insurance!
